Anyone else crash very often?

I've crashed over 10 times in less than a month. It's getting ridiculous, anyone know a way to help with the crashing?

I'm using Cs3 Extended

I had a problem with CS2 where whenever I opened something larger than say 800x600 Photoshop literally died on me, white screen, not saving anything etc. It started doing this more and more often, then randomly I had filters disappear and it started doing to same when I was making tags.

My solution was to upgrade to CS3, now when I'm working on my LP which is 1200x1600, photoshop is absolutely fine.

Sorry, that doesn't really help with your problem, I just noticed you said you're using CS3 already :/ Perhaps you don't have enough memory, or you're using too many other programs at the same time as PS?

well... the text tool takes me 3minutes to load whenever I press it... so that's annoying.

I usually only have Msn, YIM & fire fox open when I'm working with Photoshop. I don't think thats the problem, Might just be my computer :(

only have 502mb of memory.

The text tool is actually kind of slow to load for me too, maybe that's to do with the number of fonts you have (no idea what you have :P). I've never really looked into what effects the loading times of things in Photoshop.

You could try letting photoshop use more of the memory you do have available, it's somewhere in the preferences.

alright, next time I get a chance i'll look into that (giving PS more memory usage)

thanks xcine

It's deffinately your memory. You only have 512 ram and that is like the bare minimum. Go to your preferences or w/e in photoshop and set the max usage of ur memory that photoshop uses. Making it higher will make it run faster and load things better but you'll be losing speed n whatnot out of ps.
