View Full Version : Depth in a tag??

Flow

<div align="center">Depth is a main thing in tags. People will tell you that alot.
How do I create depth?</div>
Gaussain Blur your background.
Sharpen your focal point.
Use the dodge and burn tool for light and shadows.
Black & White Gradient on Luminosity and erase some parts
Applying your image, and then putting it on multiply to about 20% opacity or around there, until it looks good.
Use the hue/saturation adjustment and set the saturation on -15, then set the layer to soft light.
Apply image, use burn tools, sharpen, and blur the background. (only with HQ stock)
You can also take your original stock [scaled down to what it is in the sig] and put it on top of everything and set it to multiply and erase some parts.
You have a render that is mainly blue,
You add it to a red background (with a red light source),
Take out a red soft brush and brush where the red light source would hit your render,
Set this layer to Soft Light,
It adds depth and makes it 'feel' like the render was always apart of the stock.
Apply image, Filter>Other>High Pass on 10, set it on soft light. Great way to make depth
Black & White Gradient map on Multiply, Lower Opacity to about 20-30.

Hopefully this answers your question if you had any
Post if you have any more questions too :)

You can also take your original stock [scaled down to what it is in the sig] and put it on top of everything and set it to multiply and erase some parts. How I did it with my current.

Also u should try this (for example)

You have a render that is mainly blue
You add it to a red background (with a red light source)
Take out a red soft brush and brush where the red light source would hit your render.
Set this layer to Soft Light.
It adds depth and makes it 'feel' like the render was always apart of the stock

Some of the things I do for depth:
- Select good stocks
- Good stock placement
- Blur
- Sharpen
- Use a soft black brush to darken the sides

Simple as that. Nothing fancy ;)

Add random stock images to your sig. Blur them, and do whatever the hell you'd like. They add great texture, coloring, lighting, and depth. ^_^
