Photoshop Vs. Gimp

I like Photoshop simply because you can do so much more, I also use it because
its what I learned from the first day I started. So which do you prefer?

Photoshop for me as well. But i've seen proffesionally-ranked tags made with gimp. So it can be as good as photoshop in some cases if your experienced. I started out with Gimp as well. But i prefer Photoshop.

Gimp is basically a dulled down 'free' version of photoshop. So of course the expensive one will work better. xD

any1 thats says gimp is better is just plain stupid .. don't get me wrong gimp is not bad as its free but it takes more to use plus find good gimp tuts is uber hard and imo not work it ...

Takes more to use? Its practically the same as ps, I can use GIMP and PS equally as well. And there are less experienced tutorials for GIMP but its since you can just use ps tuts in GIMP and vice-versa.

I choose Photoshop, It has a lot more features than Gimp.

Altough it doesn't really matter what program you use, it's how you use it ;)

Agreed =) a long time ago, I had both PS and GIMP, but I figured out PS pretty quickly and GIMP was still a tad difficult to use to me XD Not that GIMP is any worse... I wouldn't really know.

So yeah I think PS is better but if you really know hot to use GIMP, GIMP may be equal to PS.

I'd agree with you on this Darkness. Its - imo - all about how much you know about the program you use.
Ive never given GIMP a fair chance, I downloaded it once, opened it and thought "fuck that" because it looked weird, cos im used to PSP and PS.
