Pretty sure you keep looking at the pc. That's how it is on a friend of mines.

You have to look at the PC unless you want to buy one for about 10X as much money...
but you get used to it after some practice

I'm interested in getting a tablet. Does anyone have a bamboo? Is it sufficient for digital painting?

for digi painting I don't know but for sure I can with on it :)
when I draw it's like the pen tool it thins depending on how much pressure you put on it.

ah so how do you know where the pointer is?
is it just like drawing with a pencil? :)
i have that one too
you have to keep looking at the screen, so it's a bit difrent from normal drawing and you wil have to get used to it first, but it's great :)
:P there is a tablet where the screen is the tablet but.....see for yourself:

i got a cheapish one £50 but i find it very good, the only problem is you need to be able to draw to use it xD so it brings a whole new level to gfx'ing :)

Yea usually people with drawing exp. do the best on the tablet. Lucky I used to do it before starting gfx xP. Not too bad at it.

I got one for my birthday a few years ago, but I never really used it. I can draw pretty good on paper, but my drawings suck on the tablet =P I found out I can draw better with the mouse.
