i'm hoping to get some shirts printed sometime soon. are there any specific guidelines you're suppose to follow for the design print itself? i.e. certain dimensions and whatnot?

depends where you sent your print ;)

also depends on what kind of technique the company/store uses where you send it to.

i don't know what it's called in english, but in dutch it's called ''zeefdruk''
with this you have to take into account that the print will be a little bit transparant, so it will take a bit of the color of the shirt.

always work at 300dpi, around 30 cm canvas, and if you want to keep it cheap use 8 colors maximum :)

yeah block out your colours at around 8 max
vector it
take your time and make sure its ready, nothing is worse than seeing the finished product printed and THEN noticing an issue
