You should start learning to use adjustment layers http://www.gfxjunk.com/board/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif that will help you getting the colors right http://www.gfxjunk.com/board/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif but overall i would suggest to just try some tutorials http://www.gfxjunk.com/board/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

Yep tutorials is how everyone learned I think.. just get to know the basics of photoshop and then try tuts of a higher skill level etc.. Its like the only way to learn.. or find out cool effects yourself and youll still be busy after 10 years or soemthing xD..

When you know photoshop you can experiment yourself, dont go copy other peoples style though xD

Just google them as I did.. find out what different styles there are etc.. Begin with brush sigs..

Google: beginner graphics tutorials or something like that..

welll....try using gaussian blur and lighten to get a shiny look in the sig.....
