I'd say this is not a debate and belongs in the spam section.

There is no "better way" to commit suicide, there's not even a "right way" or "good reason". And to be honest, I find this offensive.

Suicide is a cowardly way out of a tough situation

Yea people get in bad ways, much worse than I've ever experienced granted but still, taking your own life is ridiculous, and cowardly

If any one of my friends suggested it I'd go insane at them

It's an act of desperation, not that of a coward.

No emos[/b]
You don't even know what emo means, shut the hell up.

Majority of the time people take it as the easy way out of a tight spot, when there are often harder, but much better ways to solve such problems

I don't mean it insultingly, I don't like to speak ill of the dead but I find it cowardly, majority of the people are just essentially running away from problems

Calling someone in that situation cowardly is insulting. That's why I said it's an act of desperation. Of course there are other ways, nobody has to die by their own hand. The point is it gets to a point where you lose touch on what is the smartest decision and choose what seems to work best. I've known people who tried or succeeded in committing suicide and none of them were cowards. My sister has even tried to kill herself.

I don't mean anything personally, I'm just of a mind that couldn't possibly contemplate suicide, mainly because, not to say the people you knew weren't, but because I'm very strong minded

Anyways, no point dragging this out lol, just opinions, I didn't mean to offend you or anything :)

It has nothing to do at all with being strong minded.

Put on a batman suit, and then do the first choice.
Youll get much more media reports about it.
Just imagine..

"Batman Impersonator tries to fly, and ends up Dead"

You wouldn't even die from jumping from a 10ft building unless you landed directly on your head.

Exactly, it'd be like jumping off the top of a basketball hoop. And I do think that this topic belongs in spam because the start of this topic was ridiculous. I do say though that obviously the first one would be what I'd choose, because it'd be quicker and less painful, as long as you knew what you were doing.

I have to agree with Zach on the "debate" earlier in this thread. I know people, including a very close cousin of mine who committed suicide. He was strong-minded, but that didn't stop him.

Both are boring ways to go out. Why does it matter which one's better if they're both boring?

Like I always say, if you're going to take your own life, at least be a little creative. I mean, it IS the last thing you'll ever do in your life after all.

Jokes aside, suicide is serious business. Its an often misunderstood act. Suicide not a coward's way out. If a person has enough disregard for themselves and the world around them that they are prepared to kill themselves, then they probably aren't scared by much. Suicide is not for the weak-minded, for they do not possess the resolve to ultimately commit to it. It's really disrespectful to people who have killed themselves to even assume these things. I have a friend who tried to hang himself and failed(he's doing well now too, complete 180.) He would smack you for saying he was cowardly or weak minded.

Like Zach said, suicide is an act of desperation. A suicidal person likely feels trapped in a corner, hopelessly lost, and severed from humanity. The states of mind that lead up to suicide are so profound that they seem inescapable. To a suicidally depressed person, the only course of action is to kill themselves. They are lost, confused, and in terrible pain. A suicidal person sees not the holes in their logic. Suicide is not cowardly in the least. Do not misunderstand, their quality of life may be great and they may seem happy, but a person who is considering suicide certainly has a much harder life than you or I regardless of whether the source of hardship is internal or external.

I'm not trying to rationalize or glorify suicide, but it is so poorly understood that it dampens suicide prevention efforts.

( Oh... you're totally right Psychotic ! I'm a 98% behind you ^^)

Well... If I had the choice between gunning myself and getting down a 10 feet building... I think I'd choose the first option. Quicker. And you do not have as many chances to wake up than the second option...

But well... If I really had the choice I wouldn't choose any of the two. I'd just kill myself with something quick, and painless... maybe cyanide. Never with pills. NEVER. This is like the worst way to kill youself. And the better way to be discovered before you die. And after you're regreting it. I do regret it. But I've just figured out suicide is not an exit to anythig. I realized how much pain I could have caused if only I had died, I saw my family crying and telling me how much they love me, asking me why. I never aswered, maybe because I was ashamed of it... maybe I just couldn't get me anymore.
Anyway, suicide is not a good way to die.

I'd prefer the gun tough XD

There's not exactly much debating that can be done over suicide. "It's bad."

Alright then.

10 story building hahaha... no, bullet has been done to many times, think of something new, but for the case, i would say, skydiving with a parachute and then you can decide if you really want to kill your coward bitch ass.
