Obsession over Moderate and Intermediate

Yes, I have seen it a lot lately, everyone is obsessed with getting moderate and intermediate, but stop worrying! Take your time, or else you will be novice for an exceptionally long time, besides pumping out 6-7 sigs a week and getting re-ranked every other, make 1-3 a week and take a while to make sure your effects are perfect. I know a lot of people are gonna be like, wtf myaim, your inter stfu. No, you stfu, it took me like half a year to get from novice-inter, and yeah, i did the same shit as everyone else, i rushed. Then i got a tutor and he slowed me down, and then I took my time.

Again, i have never paid attention to the ranking rules at the site. and idk how long ive actually been doing gfx haha.

btw i havn't been ranked here in quite a while so its up for grabs what my rank is here atm.

So theres your proof, take your time, develop your own style, and experiment, mainstream only gets you so far, but originality has no boundries ;) Moderate isn't going anywhere.

PS: this is for people who care about their ranks, ill will take a knife and shove it up your man pussy if you ever post in this thread, "who cares about rank" GET THE FUCK OUT NOW. im helping people you noobs, this is no place for you to be a stand up comedian rebel. But, i agree, don't totally trust ranks, there just opinions, but for the threads subject, and the many requests for me to tutor this was very necessary.

My ranking varies from site to site...Some where I have inter...Somewhere I have mod and somewhere low mod...Its a lot about styles but I have only used tuts in the beginning...Now I am making`em ;)

Ranking doesnt matter if people like your work...
But I dont like the logic of some people and site...Some people OBVIOUSLY have "prettier" work and always beat the "inters" in the battles but still their rank is obviously influenced by some other factors then their skill

I heard also some rumors last week that we on gfxjunk had a group of Inter people who stayed inter because they where in it and that Novice and Moderate People never managed to go over that huge gap that we have between Mod and Inter. And that staff members always get Inter because they are staff :o

I disagree with this and i told this member to make a rant about it to see if more people are feeling the same about this.

Well i haven't been ranked since ages and i got no frigging clue what i am atm and i don't even care actually (Probably because i would be closer to mod then semi now:P)

I have also heard this, and its true many people believe this, but i went covert to 7 or so sites and i was ranked high inter- solid semi haha.

Yeah it's been a little over a year since I seriously started to try and improve. When I was pumping out 6-7 a week I would get mod mod mod mod mod mod mod mod mod in all my ranks and I got a little frustrated, but the best think that I did was slow down.

I also started analyzing others' work and seeing what I like about it, and I tried to incorporate the good points from their work but still have it in my own style.

I agree with all your ranks myaim, but serioulsy those terragen sigs are not fucking anywhere close to intermediate, they are novice as fuck. No custom texture, barely any work put in it, and barely any editing is ps. Thats the only thing that i think you dont deserve, but i love your style and you know that, so dont take that harshly. Those pieces are like very easy to make, u need fool around with the increase decrease tool and find a good perspective, upload to cs, and cut it out so it looks like a sig. You didnt even create some interesting textures like realistic snow, w.e. You still deserve inter now. Nice thread.
