Donating organs

I'm not sure if donating organs is common in other countries as well, but it works like this. When you die, you can choose wether or not you will have your organs available for people in need of the organs. You have the following choices.

1 Yes, I will have my organs available for others when I die.
2 No, I will not have my organs available.
3 When I die, my family may decide.
4 When I die, a specific person may decide.

I haven't chosen yet so currently i got option 3 :) but what about you?

Ok, seriously, I don't want someone to hackle my body after my death so I think I would choose no.

Here in holland you may decide yourself, but there is a discussion going on if it should be done unless someone really stated that they dont want it.

i would donate my organs when im dead if i can save lifes with it... :)

In the US I think its either a "I want to donate my organs" or "I dont want to", unless your under 16 then its your parents decision or something like that.
We had to learn about it in health a couple years ago.

I would definately donate mine. Its not like Im gonna need them :P

Maybe I think about it different later though..

But sometimes you see transplantations like the person that got a new heart gets some personality things from the person that died (if it is a heart transplantation).. So yeh i prefer not to donate my heart xD.. For the rest i dont care :P

If someone wants my heart enough to risk having some of my personality they can have it.

Yeh dunno I readed it somewhere.. Or on tv or something.. Like someone got a heart from a serial killer and the person taht got the heart was more angry often and got mood issues and what else :P etc.. :/..

I dont like the idea of a serial killers heart being transplanted in someone.

plus i want to be cremated, so not like it really matters that much.

and about that heart personality deal... yea right... a heart is an organ to pump blood throughout the body it doesnt hold any personality traits...

I think it was a great thing to do, really got people thinking about where they want their organs to go when they die. Truly amazing.

I'll probably end up donating mine, however it's still awkward to think about someone cutting you up after you're dead.
But it is for a good cause, so yes.
