You use a learning right psd for displace?
Lol sorry to ask stupid questions but I was just curious because I used one of my old tags for displace and it took the exact outline of it even the text!

good question I Can't answer that question since you rip layers but then again do you really rip the layers :S
yeh very good question if that ripping then i ripped once or twice O.o..
I have used someone elses PSD for a displace filter once but that was a while ago.. Hmm
difficult :/

No, imo it isn't ripping because you're not actually taking anything from their signature.
I'm sure plenty of people use someone else's PSD to displace their work.
Also, usually when using the displace filter it doesn't look exactly the same.

No I don't rip layers...
Kk since I started this thread, I tested out a displace filter from a learning right psd with the text .ORANGE on it, and the text orange clearly showed up on the sig space.

Anything that stands out will obviously be more noticeable in your displaced image, because it uses the PSD file as a guide to distort the work. It's not ripping because you're obviously not stealing their work but using it to create a different effect in your signature which you then go on to modify some more.
