if you are under the age of 18 the best thing is probably fast food. Thats how most people have to start out, atleast in the US. Its pretty difficult to find jobs anywhere else at a young age unless you know someone who can hire you. Might as well forget the sit down restaurant as a waiter since they all have had experience in fast food first.

Fast food is the best since they schedule to work is always willing to change for your own personal schedule. Basically they are so desperate you can set your own hours at most places. Which would still give you time for a social life.

I got a job with absolutely no work experience http://www.gfxjunk.com/board/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif Just apply for an easy job first, then after a few months they'll move you up. I know a lot of people that work at sonic, but I work at a Steakhouse as a server/to-go server. You just got to prove yourself to them later http://www.gfxjunk.com/board/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif

learn yourself gfx and coding and start selling templates/layouts on the web.[/b]

Without any collage archievements that's really hard to begin http://www.gfxjunk.com/board/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif you also need the connections for that http://www.gfxjunk.com/board/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif since it takes a lot more work than only designing a website http://www.gfxjunk.com/board/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

Administration
Marketing
Communication
Good Designer
Good Coder
Manage the host and domains for people

think before you speak.

As far as web coding I just dont like it. Its the same thing over and over and customers or so stupid they dont really know what they want.
Make is pretty with sounds and flahing lights and marquees sigh...
Functionality?

Its why so many people use Windows over Mac or Linux.

apply at your nearest bowling alley, that's a pretty good job becasue you can get a little of everything in there, cooking, waiting on people(food) mechanical repairs, if they need new signs and stuff like that, you can design it for them, and you get people skills. it's all up to you

I dont know, my friend from school is only 15 and makes a fair amount of money seeling templates etc. Is good job, but could get boring coding all the time, however is fairly easy and fairly quick to code a basic website.

my varied job history is as follows

worked for a sheet metal company operating a 40-ton press
worked as a commie chef (lowest chef, sorta trainee)
worked for jaguar (the car people) making armrests for x-types
worked for gola (a crappy shoe company) picking orders
worked for AQA (a uk exam board) compiling examination papers and sending them to schools
worked as a grill/head chef (free food!)
worked for Au Naturale (a home furnishings warehouse job, not fun at all)
worked at the Manchester Met University Students Union as a catering assistant (kinda boring, lots of drunk students)
worked for a telecoms company (started off in admin, got promoted to IT as a web developer - my Big Break :))
working for a company called Pepperneck (my current job is as a web developer/graphic designer - very good so far!)

all this and i dropped out of uni, just to show it is hard work but if you wanna work in IT, you don't have to be a university grad, you just have to stick with it

Yeah I'm taking a year off to really decide if I want to do IT.

I'm thinking that I don't. More print layout or ad design but magazines are sort of not so cool anymore lol.

Looks like mechanical engineering for me it is... lol
