I posted some signatures in an art part of the forum and stuff and this one guy commented on me since he thinks he is like the best artist ever. -

Here is some of the guys work that i can find -

Now here is what he told me about my work xD -

Your style is a lot like a friend of mine's. The characters were in the center, and took up most of the sig. Then the background was worked on a little bit, usually with a blur of some sort. Then the brushes were used for making text structures and hardly anything more. It's a good strategy, but I must say it's easily-overused.

For the rest, I'm just going to say there's nothing bad about it, but there's nothing extraordinary about it either. Except for the following:

You've got text nailed. Just try to freelance in doing some other things, though. Don't worry about your new techniques looking bad, bad sigs are what make you better. Doing this types gives you a safe game. Very hard to screw one of these up, but then again, you usually won't learn anything from them. Try placing the character on the sides, and perhaps two characters in one sig, to see how you could blend the two colors. Also, try putting two pictures of one character in a sig. Trying out some adjustment layers could also fix up some loose ends if you find any.

Gaming forums have differing standards to graphics based forums so obviously people there are going to think they're "better" than the rest of the members because they don't know what the standards are outside their own little world XD

Anyway, I agree gaming forums suck when you have a 9 year old with 2 weeks graphic experience telling you what you did "wrong".
