is this even a question? 360 obviously many more modding options plus its all aroudn cheaper, plus it doesnt use blue ray discs for its games so the games arent 80 bucks a peice.

i agree that overall the PS3 is just too expensive to play right now, but once they release its next version without the Blu-Ray i will change my answer.

I haven't played on the ps3 yet so for now xbox360 although i do love the playstation for some reason (exept for the banana controller)

Id say the 360 right now.

Phsyically the PS3 to be the more graphically advanced game system.

But I think sony has gotten too big they dont listen to their consumers. They will have to step it up to get their system back to the top.

I still play my PS2 all the time though.

i think the 360 b/c the games are cheaper, the system is cheaper, and i ahve been more impressed with xbox games than any of the ps2 games i've played. the 360 also has a lot more capabilities than it can produce, it has something like 3 different processing units or something like that adn (with the right system of course) can almost wrap you in the game (i.e. 360 degrees)

They arent significaly cheaper. The ps2 and original xbox are pretty even as far as hardware on that system. So it comes down to what sort of games you like to play.

But thats off topic.

Staying with the next gen systems.

Sony is known for posting numbers that are irevlant. I do think the 360 is the superior system right now. It is easier to code for the 360 so more publishers and designers will be drwan to it early.
After the programmers figure out how to efficently spread game code across the ps3's 8 processors (Technically its 1 main 6 extended 1 for redundancy) then it should blaze the 360 that is if anybody can figure out how to code it.

The 360 has 10x more bandwith on the GPU than the ps3 so theres not really much to be said there. The ps3's limited bandwith on the GPU is most likely going to be the systems downfall.

That and the exorbnant price. If blueray takes off I might go get it as it is 300+ dollars less thay most blue ray players.

Sony has defiantly lost a fanboy this go-round.

I say the PS3! 2 of my friends bought an XBox 360 no too long ago, and both of theirs crashed... One of em just quit workin, and it wouldnt spit out the game that was in it... the other one just quit turnin on... and ive heard alot of other stuff thats been goin wrong with em.. the same with regular xbox, they had lots of problems too.. but ive almost never heard of playstation goin down... but, thats just my opinion, and just so u know, I REALLY HATE MICROSOFT, so maybe thats why im so prejudice agains XBOX, lol

I dont think we can make a definante rulling because both systems are still pretty brand new when you concider the life of a system is about 10 years. Take for example the ps2 when it first came out we were like 'ZOMGWTBBQ!!!! it looks so real" and we are still say the same thing with God of War2.

I think both systems need some time to prove theirself.

If they keep making trivial games like wii spors then that system will surley fail. That system needs their prices to drop below 100 bux and for their controllers and games across the board to drop too. For what youre getting that system is way too expensive.

I stopped caring about which one has more under its hood. I mean the PS2 was not even as powerful as the Xbox and it was king. The wii is like slightly better then the Xbox in terms of processing power and its like at 8 million sold, from what I have seen,

It comes down to what games you like to play. I love FPS and TPS so I chose the Xbox 360 because its like an alternative to pc gaming. It might not be as good as some would say, thats if you want to debate that, you may, but to me, It is.

Xbox 360 for me. PS3 is lacking in games and all the added equipment isn't needed, all people wanna do is play games not mess around with other media. That's why there is other sources. So far the PS3 games are sucking. So the PS3 might go out at the end of this year if they don't provide the awesome games like the PS2 does.

The PS3 has nice graphics but the overall package does not compare to the Xbox 360. Even the owner and original creator of the Final Fantasy legacy denounced the PS3 and is currently making games for the 360.

Overall I like the system and game choices better as well as options and prices.
