Maybe :P I got a letter from People to People Student Ambassadors today. I got one last year to go to England, but I couldn't get the money for that one (I didn't have as long as I do now). I need to raise $5400 to go to Australia by next year, unfortunately they don't have scholarships like JrNYLC had when I went to D.C. :( But, i plan on doing LOTS of work this year :P I just hope I can get to go to Boston for JrNYLC Alumni and Australia next Summer :P

I've gotten one of those letters like every year since 7th grade. I just think they send it out to kids and make them feel like they're smart and just get those kids to give them money. I never went; I didn't want to pay for it. Instead I volunteered and went to Governor's School and other free stuff that looked just as good.

xD For all the things we get to do and going across the whole country, $5400 is pretty cheap :o

Ha, I know the thing is real, I've known people that go. I'm just saying they use a clever marketing strategy. They send out these supposedly "exclusive" invites for to millions of kids, telling them that they are the best of the best and such when really they just send them out to anyone.

I personally would never spend that much money on something like that :)
