I haven't spoken to Argentus/Sean about this, but I'm sure he will read this and give us his input, but as the new moderator for the Resources section, I thought it could be a good idea to re-arrange the section a little as it is quite cluttered.

Here's how I think it should look.

Free Tutorials - Move them completely into their own section (I will explain this below)
PSD Files - Leave as is
Renders & Stocks/subforums - Remove Non-Gaming Renders and add Stock Packs, Anime Renders, Misc Renders sections
Misc Resources - Leave as is
Not Enough Posts? - I don't know if this section has every been used, so perhaps it could be removed.

I think the Tutorials should have their own section and should look like this:

3D Tutorials - Leave as is
Photoshop Tutorials - Change to Signature Tutorials, and add 3 new sub forums; Beginner Tutorials, Intermediate Tutorials, Advanced Tutorials
Other Tutorials - Leave as is but maybe rename Misc Tutorials
Web Tutorials - Add section for web template tutorials

What do you think? I sure think it will make it easier to navigate and easier for newbies to find things.

I think tutorials should stay in the resource section, they are after all a resource.
Adding a separate section for Tutorials would just be causing more clutter on the front of the forums.

Photoshop Tutorials.
I think it's fine how it is at the moment, because things that go in there aren't purely full signature tutorials so it wouldn't make sense to rename it to "Signature Tutorials". As for having separate sections for level, that could possibly be a good idea.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Render / Stock Section.
I think Gaming & Non-Gaming are fine, I don't think there's any need for an anime/misc section in there at the moment. In my opinion there isn't enough reason to split it into two separate sections, although the majority of renders in non-gaming may be anime there isn't enough "misc" renders to split the two.

Stock packs can be placed in the stocks section, as can photobucket links etc.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Could you possibly lay your ideas out like this:

Resources
- Forum
-- Subforum
-- Subforum
- Forum
-- Subforum

It'll just make it a little easier to see what you're actually asking for, cause at the moment it's not completely clear.

i think the different sections for the tutorials would be a good idea, but atm i think the stocks are ok as they are...im not sure if we need a whole different section from the resources to tutorials.

I'm not a big fan of the separate sections for the tutorials either. I just think it wouldn't really make a difference, plus then we'd have to go through and decide which tutorials are advanced, intermediate, and beginning tutorials.

I think your idea is a good one though, because it will clean up the clutter on the front of the forums, if there are just two major sections. It could go something like this though:

-Resources
-- PSD Files
-- Renders
--- 3D Renders
--- Gaming Renders
--- Non-Gaming Renders
-- Stocks
-- Misc Resources

- Tutorials
-- PhotoShop Tutorials
--- Full Signature Tutorials
--- Effect Tutorials
--- Other Tutorials
--3D Tutorials
--Other Tutorials

Just a suggestion :)
