I didn't know where to post stories, so I am just posting here because it is experience in a way. Just a short story on what it feels like to play in a rock concert:
After hours of practice, the time was here.
The 4 of us they made up our band stood in the wings of the large stage. We sat in silence. We were all nervous- no one would dare say so. I watched as the compere spoke to the audience, telling them about our band.
Screams filled the air- the excited fans couldn't wait- I could. I stood up, the rest of the band following me. We went into a huddle and said a prayer. We all gave it each other one last look, as if to say: "Have fun, but don't you dare mess up!” We all knew our roles in the band were equally important.
I heard the compere say our bands name, it was time to go on to the stage...
We went on- with such impact, the crowd screamed louder, my heart stopped beating.
I took a seat at my drum set and waited for the other members to pick up their guitars. Our vocalist said a little something about the song and about our band, again we gave each other a look, but this time the look was one that said "This is it, our long hours of practice are finally going to count towards something."
Slowly, I picked up my drum sticks; I clicked them together "Tick, tick, tick". Straight away the guitar started, naturally I started drumming, and this was it. The feeling is one you can't explain- the adrenaline is incredible, but there is a feeling of fear at the same time.
The crowd screamed even louder than before, we started playing faster and louder. My heart resumed its beating, faster than ever...
The song ended- we bowed our heads in a line and thanked the audience, which applauded back to us in support. It was over.

Really short, but I don't have time to write anything much longer..
