The Graphics Life of +mw.Lupo

Hey guys,
Most of you no me as +mw.Lupo or .Lupo.
I first started doing GFx at the age of about 13/14. At around this time, it was hard for me, due to my dad becoming even more ill. So GFX helped me keep on my feet, when ever i was upset i would usually just go on my computer open up photoshop and start fiddling away. But of course, i was still really bad lol. I was doing sigs that were like 500x300 in size. Just using simple effects, such as cutting and pasting bits of the render and moving it about, using the legendary pixel stretch, and just other basic effects at the time.

At around this time when i was starting Graphics, i had started getting into websites. I made my own website when i just turned 12. This was a ladder site, for Socom. When it first got off i was really really proud of it, as it was my own creation, made by me, something i can look back on and see 'wow i succeeded at something'. Then after months of the site being up it became increasingly bigger etc. And then i decided i wanted to create more sites. the more sites i made the more happy and more special i felt. This feeling was very strange for me, as it felt like being part of an elite group, that i could succeed and do something (as well as boast about to my friends).

Now back to my Graphic stages. During the website phase, i was increasingly producing more and more sigs. To me the more a made the better they would look. But then i found this wasnt the case. This is when is started to go on to different GFX sites to ask there opinions. As you can imagine it was a big jump, as i had been just doing cnc on my ladder site, when everyone knew as much as me, about gfx. So of course that was minimal.
So around this time i felt slightly annoyed with myself, believing that i was good, and stopped completely.

IT was only 2 months until i started it back again, i thought to myself, 'why should i be put down by people commenting on my work. I should proove them that i can be good, and become good'. So thats exactly what i did.
I started reading lots and lots of tutorials. And became a lot better, using more advanced effects. At this time i was Rank: beginner/Novice.

When i turned 14 i found out about a site called sigrequest.com . Now, i had heard such great things about it, i thought it was the best site ever... So i applied for GFx Designer, and i got through as Recruit/ DIT. And i was just so proud being part of a team and learning more techniques and everything. I stayed on that site for about 3-4 months, being quite obsessed with it, with the people as well as the enjoyment of seeing other peoples work. Then a arguement broke out between the Owner - Jim and the Co-Owner rQ. This fight continued until rQ locked Jim out of sigrequest.com. The threats were more intense, including suing. So then rQ took the database and created his own site based of sigrequest (this was called Designer's Central). I was in a way heart broken, as the fun i had, had there was enormous. It was just a good place to be. But, after a few days i had thought and matured a great deal about things. And i started to just stay loyal to rQ. Then after about a month i left. And started searching around for different sites different people to be inspired by.

Then i found out about +mw.pmi. I was amazed and dazzled about his work, i was so inspired. So i decided to get my work to a good standard (Low Moderate) and try and join him. After about a month of looking at pmi's work trying to decipher how he created it, and what tools he used. I got up to a suitable level. I then applied for the Master Works status. I showed them my work and my extensive resources (including stocks, psds etc). And they accepted me, at this time i thought my eyes had deceived me. I actually couldnt believe i was part of the LEGENDARY pmi.
I started to talk to him, and learn from his great techniques, and i learned what a nice guy he really is.

Then that comes to GFx Junk. Now i started on here on the 4th of September 2007. When i joined i was ranked a solid mod. I have never made any lps before, just sigs. After my weeks at GFx Junk, i was inspired by some of the great people on the site. How nice everyone was, how friendly people were, and how honest they were. There was especially one person, called An1ken. When i spoke to him i was first asking, him how i did things, and i recognized him as a friend. An1ken helped me out a lot, from GFx to girls to motocross. He helped me and i thank him personally for that.
Now at GFx Junk. I had started to gain confidence in battling others. And i realized that its not scary, or embarrassing if you lose. Its helpful. As it shows firstly, what level you are at, and shows how many people like your work and what you could/need to improve. So i had my first battle, agaisnt a guy called .Aspect. At this time my lp's where quite good, around High inter/Low Semi of work. This battle was a very close one, it was neck and neck until i won. At last i had one my first battle!!
And i did another, this time agaisnt 2 good artist's called huMAC and .Scream. This was a wierd one for me as i had never really had a 3 way battle. Especially agaisnt 2 good artists. We started the voting, and i got ahead. Not for long as humac was level. But the result was 5-3-0.

And that comes to the end of my Life in the Graphics world. I have enjoyed every Last bit. And i just cant wait to see what is ahead..........

To be continued..........

My suggestion is to open the psd version of it and copy all the text and then paste it in there instead of using an image.
