it depends on my mood really. Some day i just like to roll through town bassin with the windows down to some old school like Dre or Snoop or NWA or 2LC lol but other days i really like to here some metal like Rob Zombie or Prong or Danzig

Old hiphop is ok too, This new stuff is total crap i absolutly hate what has happened to hiphop.

The thing about metal though is, it's got a bazillion subgenres, so if you've just listened to one, you cannot label the whole thing as shit (which a lot of people do). Avid hip-hop/rap listeners think it's like their music, every artist (if you can call most of them that) sound VERY similar. So they hear some shitty death metal song and so they label the entire genre (not even subgenre) as shit.

Industrial Metal FTW. You can have your metal, and dance to it too!

I much agree. Metal ftw because hip-hop is dead, it's all the same now. Many forms of metal can get you pumped up, and are sometimes better than caffeine in the morning, imo. I can't quite place why I like industrial, maybe because it reminds me of old school Nintendo, with all the synthesized-ness.

Today's metal is horrible. Some of it is good, but most of it is just plain shitty.

I have to vouch for {old} metal as Hip Hop is a trendy music and most songs go out of popularity [unless it's just awe inspiring, which you don't see much] very quickly.

Metal lasts forever if its good.
