How do you make a sprite effect?

Ok, like what cymbals does, on his sprite tags, I really need to know how to make a sprite have an efect on him, like something around where he's punching, you know what I mean, please :D

Well, I'm not sure about the effect you're talking about, but I either set a small part of a c4d on linear dodge or something and then smudge it in that direction, or just use a soft brush on linear dodge and then smudge it.

Just experiment and play around :)

Yea like sean said, I believe it is a C4d placed on Linear dodge on the fist or whatever, Delete most of the c4d around and smudge in the direction where you want it to flow :)

mmm, i think also some people use parts from diferent sprites. especially the ones that have nice effects. and blend them on the sign. ^^

I think those are C4D (the lines) and some brushing on color dodge and stuff in the middle :)
